Onto map 11. Across the A895 by the crofts of Benachielt, and due west into our first taste of remoteness. The terrain was pretty flat, but it took in a Coire, a couple of Cnochans, a Hill and finally our first Ben (Alisky), which we avoided to the south. After that we graduated to our first Beinn (Glas-choire) which took us to the highest point so far, at 348m.
En route, there were fine views of Maiden Pap and Morven to the south, and the coastline around Dunbeath. The photo shows the spot we chose to pitch camp (022366).
