After making our way through a youngish forest plantation, we crossed the A837 near a chambered cairn. We passed up the opportunity to pick up some recent road-kill (a pheasant), and made our way onto open moorland. Some of the peat groughs were well sculpted, and one reminded me of a breaking wave - hence this silly surfing pose.
Having tiptoed between the NW and SE parts of Clar Lochan, we then climbed to about 400m, where there was a series of delightful lochans, prompting a skimming competition. We saw a diver on one of the lochans.
We camped at 180991 on map 20.
