The JoGLE Watershed crosses a large number of canals, but the Caledonian was the first (and most impressive). Tim and I found a floating restaurant (MV Scot II) moored in Laggan Locks and we enjoyed a feast while we waited for the others.
Once we'd sorted out our rucksacks the 5 of us set off up through South Laggan Forest. It was closely planted and the forest tracks crossed the thin blue lines, so it was a scratchy and somewhat hilarious scramble until we reached the edge of the forest and climbed over the deer fence.
We camped at 327964 past Beinn Bhan.
